Community Health Partnerships (CHP) plus Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Bexley, Bromley & Greenwich CCGs
Community Health Partnerships (CHP) required Local Estate Strategies (LES) for Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich CCGs.
To achieve a One Public Estate approach for estate management, for the first time the LES included the assets of:
- GP practices
- NHS Property Services
- The respective local authorities
The original deadline for submission to the Department of Health (DH) was 31 December 2015. The date was later revised after the DH and project team decided the task was more complex than first envisaged. It required in-depth data analysis and substantial involvement from a number of stakeholders.
The main thrust of our work was to gather and digitally map the vast asset data (including tenure and cost), for more than 1,000 properties. Together, their shared area covered more than 1,000,000 m2 of clinical and non-clinical accommodation. We worked alongside CHP, each of the six CCGs and the numerous local stakeholders to achieve this.
Our work also involved:
- Gap analyses
- Attendance and active participation at Local Estates Forum meetings
- Strategic workshops
- Authorship of several versions of the LES
One of our documents was presented to Ministers as an exemplar of best practice. Our successful work led to delivering Local Estate Strategies for each of the separate CCGs. These have then supported their funding applications to DH, in support of the Sustainability & Transformation Plan (STP) for South-East London submitted in October 2016.
