A large three-site NHS Acute Trust required significant investment in its estate to deliver cost and carbon dioxide emissions savings, as well as improve the building’s fabric and long term resilience.
Essentia’s leading Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) framework provided a fast-tracked and fully project-managed EPC process, which worked closely with the Worcestershire estates team to find the right supplier, ensure a financing solution was viable with limited capital availability, support the contract agreement stages and ensure that the Trust achieved value for money.
The project will deliver a wide range of energy efficiency measures including combined heat power capacity, boiler replacement, conversation to low-temperature hot water from steam and low energy lighting retrofit.
- The work is guaranteed to deliver fuel savings of £660,000 a year
- Carbon emissions will be reduced by 33% a year
- Essentia supported the Trust to utilise )% interest financing
Essentia has huge experience helping Trusts fast track large-scale CO2 and energy savings projects and deliver best value for money. They have been instrumental in advising us on the process, supporting us through contract negotiations, ultimately helping us to find the right partner to progress the project.
