Essentia appoints new equipment advisory lead

Essentia is pleased to introduce Annette Turnpenny who joins the healthcare planning team to offer strategic development for the Equipment Advisory Service. Annette will be responsible for contributing to one of Essentia’s strategic aims namely, to create high-quality environments that are clinically and financially sustainable as well as increasing Essentia’s portfolio of offerings to both existing and new clients.

Part of that portfolio of services includes the planning and delivery of appropriate equipment strategies. Commenting on the new appointment, Tina Nolan, Essentia’s Director of Healthcare Planning, said; “Annette brings an unusual combination of healthcare planning expertise mixed with 30 plus years’ of practical, hands-on experience, and is an asset to the management team. Her knowledge and experience will prove instrumental as we look to define more innovative solutions for our clients and grow our presence globally.”

Annette was previously a Project Manager for Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Medical City Project in Qatar helping to deliver one of the largest hospital projects in the world, and prior to that she has a proven track record in overseeing and delivering national and international healthcare projects at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Scotland and on behalf of Serco at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Western Australia.

On her appointment, Annette Turnpenny said; “It’s an exciting time to be working in the healthcare industry with advances in technology and specification of equipment making purchasing a dynamic and strategic investment for many organisations. Getting this right, so that clients are creating healthcare environments which are both clinically and financially sustainable, is sometimes a difficult task. But it’s this kind of challenge that I enjoy best.
“I feel very privileged to take on this role at a crucial time for many of our clients. It’s also a time of change with the needs of patients, people and other stakeholders altering rapidly. Essentia is dealing with these changes in thoughtful and novel ways to make a positive impact on the healthcare industry as a whole.”
With over 30 years of progressive UK and international experience in Healthcare as a Senior Manager, Clinician, Programme and Project Manager, Annette will oversee equipment planning needs and ensure requirements are included at every significant project milestone on behalf of healthcare clients and will report into Tina Nolan, Essentia’s Director of Healthcare Planning.
