After the success of the October launch, Essentia will be holding the next Essentia SAM Network event at Microsoft HQ, Thames Valley Park, Reading.
The day offers the opportunity to join other colleagues involved in SAM or software licencing, meet highly regarded industry experts and learn more about the benefits of Software Asset Management through The Essentia SAM Network.
Software Asset Management (SAM) involves managing and optimising the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilisation and disposal of software applications. The Essentia SAM Network is our new knowledge-sharing community for NHS and public sector staff responsible for SAM.
“Software Asset Management is a specialism that few trusts will have the time or resource to fully acquire, but ignoring the issue will lead to more problems, particularly as individual trusts could be audited at any given time.
These informative days show you, first hand, the financial savings and potential licence compliance risks which could be lurking in your organisation. This quarter’s event focuses on the end of the Microsoft PSA12 agreement and Open Source licencing with presenters including key individuals from Essentia, Microsoft and Crown Commercial Service (CCS).
You’ll also have the opportunity to pose questions directly to other NHS and Public Sector organisations as well as Microsoft’s Public Sector Licencing team who will be present. The Essentia SAM Network event will link those with a common role in SAM to share ideas, answer questions and engage with software vendors as a united NHS, through an online service as well as a quarterly events attended by experts from organisations such as Microsoft”
Andy Hill, Head of Software Asset Management, Essentia.
