Essentia has won a new contract to help Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KGH) develop their Emergency Department and Urgent Care Services. The current Emergency Department, which opened in 1994, was designed to cater for 50,000 attendances per year but this has since increased by 40%.
Essentia will be working with KGH to provide healthcare planning consultancy and support in developing a business case for the new department. Tina Nolan, Director of Healthcare Planning, Essentia, said “We’re delighted to be working with Kettering General Hospital to build a case for a modern emergency services unit which will meet current and future needs”.
Kettering General Hospital hope to receive the go-ahead for the new Emergency Department in November 2014.
