Essentia have successfully sold 221 Consort Road, Southwark, a former community clinic, on behalf of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT).
Essentia helped the Trust to identify the development potential of the site and worked with Southwark Council on housing concepts to help inform future purchasers.
The sale of the property completed on 9 March, achieving a sale price of £1,275,000. As the sale was agreed on an unconditional basis, it guaranteed a timely completion that met the client’s key objective of closing prior to the end of the 2015/16 financial year.
The proceeds from the sale will be reinvested into the delivery of health care services; a welcome outcome for the Trust. The sale has succeeded in bringing a redundant building back into use to provide a number of residential units and generate a financial return for the NHS.
“Throughout the project, Essentia were very straightforward to deal with, and handled the process in a highly professional manner. The outcome is a great win for the Trust, and my thanks go to the Property team that saw through completion of the sale.”
Mike Haynes, Head of Property, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust
