Q. What do you do at Essentia?
A. I’m a Senior Project Manager in the Capital Development team. My background is primarily based in the delivery of construction projects, within the healthcare sector.
Q. How long have you worked at Essentia?
A. Just a little over two months.
Q. What are you working on at the moment?
A. I am working with the Evelina London Children’s Hospital Capital Projects team. Together we are delivering their new Critical Care, Cardiology and Imaging Suite.
Q. As a child, what was your dream job?
A. I always wanted to join the police and specialise in forensics, perhaps because I watched a few too many episodes of Silent Witness!
Q. What do you love about your job?
A. I really enjoy solving technical challenges. I’ve honed my project management skills in the most awkward live clinical spaces and I am not fazed by the challenge when others often are. In my experience, it’s just a case of building the right team around you to navigate a way forward.
Q. What’s the best piece of career/work advice you’ve been given?
A. There is no such thing as a ‘stupid question’: I am the one who always asks them!
Q. What was the last book you read?
A. Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari.
